The theme of force has a variety of definitions, most common use for force is the "destruction" of a photo. Meaning the photo being edited to look different, or in some cases look weird. Another definition would be double exposure which means you take two photos and put them on top of each other and be able too look at them both either being ones silhouette or some trees "captured" in a vase or a silhouette. Another cool definition is force of Architecture and as the name implies, it's photos of building and in a certain way make them look "different" meaning there might be a huge empty space and a small building to make it look not empty and it might give of a sense of fullness.

My Photo destroy:Morgan Freeman
In this task I had to 'destroy' a photo of my favourite celebrity. As you can see I made his hair blue ,his beard red and put some yellow snake looking eyes and some white 'dots' on the background. Also I put some random newspaper text in front of him and the number 666 also from the same newspaper in the background and a green paper to his nose to make it look like snot.
WWW: The photo that it took after the 'destruction' of his picture was good. The destruction itself seems funny and I quite like that, well thats what I was aiming from the beginning.
EBI: I could have done a better cut on the picture to not show the white parts of the paper and I found have made it a bit more straight when I was gluing it.

Photo Destroy:Me
In this task I had to destroy a photo of myself.I took a picture on black and white and cut my silhouette, and added some coloured paper that was cut before sticking.I also cut some newspaper as an eye patch and as a title to add a comedic effect. Then I coloured some of the paper and drew girlish lips.
WWW:I liked the overall photo with the comedic effects that I added.
EBI:I could have cut a little better the silhouette and I should have been careful with the sticking on the lined paper (I ripped it on accident).

Research of Cristoffer Relander
Christoffer Relander was born in Finland December 1986. He started art in an early age, but it was not until he served the Finnish Marines between 2008-2009 that he got that final push for passion with photography.
Jasper James
Jasper James is a British photographer with over twenty years experience working for some of the world's leading brands and publications. For the past decade he has been based mainly in Beijing, shooting and producing photography and video content throughout Asia. He currently goes back and forth between London, Beijing and Shanghai.
Force of Nature
In this task I had to take pictures of myself and nature and combine them as one.I took a picture of a tree close to our school's woods and a picture of me then on photo shop I edited the two pictures together by putting one on top of another and on the the layers menu on the opacity I lowered it to 80%.
WWW: I like how the photo ended out I like the effect the my shirt looks like a camouflage suit.
EBI: I don't really know for something better maybe the photo could have been better as to only be my silhouette and not on the background to.

Final Outcome 1 :Force |
Final Outcome 2:Force |
'The relentless battle between man and the natural environment that he Inhabit's is one that holds endless visual possibilities. The buildings and structures that man builds as symbols of prosperity and status are, at their basic level, simply a means of protection from the harsh environment that surrounds him.'
In this task I had to take photos of nature and show were its "overgrowing" on the man-built places, and the battles of trying to take back it's place. On the contact sheet I show some of the pictures taken to show this theme.
WWW: The pictures were taken with care and not rushed and I like the lighting effect that the sun gave.
EBI: I could have taken more pictures that show where the plants are "battling" with the man-made structures and trying to get it's place back.

Force of Architecture
Simon Phipps
Simon Phipps is a photographer and the creator of the New Brutalism collection of photography on Tumblr, Instagram and Twitter. He is a graduate in sculpture from The Royal College of Art. He grew up in Milton Keynes where his parent were architects involved in the design of the city.
Introduce the intentions of the task for example:
In this task I was required to photograph buildings from an angle that gave the impression they were bearing down on me.
Contact sheet
Subtly edit your best two or three images for each theme: My photographs are split into three themes and explain each one
Negative Space
Line and Perspective
Geometric Shapes
(make sure that you change the image size and at least adjust the levels)
WWW and EBI (use the most appropriate sentence starters from the bottom of your page)

Force of Movement
Thomas Eakins:Force of Movement
Thomas Eakins creates force of movement photos meaning he captures the movement of an object or person and puts them together to make an effect of an afterimage that shows that movement. Moreover Thomas is considering that he would be able to see the movement and see how the object is moving. This is shown by the 2nd image when you can seethe way that the kid is jumping.Thomas was interested in this issue because eh felt it was relevant to his studies as a physiologist. Also, Thomas has used a multiple exposure , a darkroom and some digital manipulation techniques such as layering the movement.
My Force of Movement
In this task I had to take photos with high shutter speed. In addition it would show the movement of the action, then I just had to use photoshop to add the photos together and make that effect of there are after images of the movement.
WWW: I like the photos that I took (josh was also co-operative) I like the outcome.
EBI: The camera shook a bit an the image is not fully clear and the photo was too small for me to put the other images because I wanted to put more.

3 Strands
1st Strand: Chemical Force
Alberto Seveso
Illustrator & Digital Photographer Alberto Seveso was born in Milan, he grow up in Sardinia but is now working and living in Bristol (UK) as a freelancer. His passion for graphic art started when he was in a young age and he was really fascinated by the graphic of skate decks and the cover of music CD of metal bands in the early ‘90s. From this passion he started to create his artworks.
My Version
In this stand I picked Chemical force because I like chemistry and I got to do a small experiment and show it here. Moreover doing this small experiment was intriguing because I also got to see it in pictures and see exactly what happens. (i.e. like in this experiment I got to see how the colours mixed as they were falling down the water.
WWW: I liked the pictures took lots of photos ,aperture speed focus and almost everything were perfect.
EBI: I could have edited the photos to not be tilted.

2nd Strand:Force of Nature
Christoffer Relander was born in Finland December 1986 and grew up in the countryside of Ekenäs. Relander's interest in art started at an early age, but it was not until he served the Finnish Marines between 2008-2009 that he found his passion with photography.
My Version
I picked this strand because I like nature and the way that Christoffer Relander portrayed it as "jailed" nature in a jar or a vase or even a glass head.
WWW: I like the pictures as a whole, tried to take them over and over again for perfect pictures.
EBI: The photoshop part was hard and couldn't make the photos how I really wanted.

3rd Strand:Applied Force
Françoise Delfosse
FRANÇOISE DELFOSSE born in Namur, Belgium is a respected architect and photographer who is best known for his series of work 'Antartica in a bag' where he used plastic bags to replicate the setting of Antarica. He says that the images were taken in a “glacier cave just North of the South Pole”, before adding that they are “viewed from the inside of a plastic bag”. In a interview he said 'I was inspired by "American Beauty", there is a scene in the film where a plastic bag is softly lifted and driven away by the wind. The bag obviously portrayed a character tossed to and fro by life, with no control over his life'.
My Version
In this task I had to take pictures inside of a plastic bag or some sort of plastic bag to make it look like some sort of environment.I picked this task because it seemed interesting as how you can make a plastic bag look different and use it differently than the ordinary boring use to hold items.
WWW: I like the overall pictures and the "terrain" that the bags made.
EBI: The photos look a little bright and I should have had a higher shutter speed if I wanted to look more like Françoise Delfosse.

Favourite Strand: Force of Nature
Development 1:Black and White , Upside Down
As my 1st development I took some pictures and edited them on photoshop.: Made them Black and white and I thought to rotate them and put them upside down like Ansel Adams. He inspired me to make the photos like that.
WWW: The photos were clean and in focus.
EBI: I don't know what to add.

EBI: I don't know what to add.
Development 2: Put it in a vase
As my 2nd strand I though of editing them and put them in a vase or glass head as you can see on the right photo. Inspiration from Christoffer Relander.
WWW: Cool effects achieved what I wanted.
EBI: I could have done a better job in the frame of the photos

Development 3:Inverted Colours
As my 3rd strand I though of mixing and messing up the original colours of the photos.
WWW: I liked how they looked in photoshop and stuck with it, because of the vibrance of the colours and how they looked like out of this world.
EBI: I don't know what to improve since I did this on accident.

EBI: I don't know what to improve since I did this on accident.
Development 4:Inverted in a vase
As my 4th strand I put those inverted coloured photos into vases. Same concept as 2nd strand.
WWW: Looked cool without the vases as a layout, now its even better.
EBI: I don't know because it was accidental that I ended with this strand.
